
Joseph Edward Estes passed away peacefully on December 28, 2016, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, In., due to diabetic complications.
Joe was Born August 28, 1958, in Woodbury, TN to Jim and Flora Ann (Simanson) Estes. He attended Indiana State School for the Deaf, and married the love of his life, Connie Francis Harman, on March 17th, 2015.
First and foremost, Joe was a good Christian man who loved God and Jesus Christ. He was a state wrestling champion in school and loved all sports. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Joe was loved by everyone he crossed paths with. He was a kind, humble and gentle soul. Although he could never hear or speak, he was Elvis Presley’s #1 FAN!! His favorite song was Precious Lord Take My Hand, Take Me Home.
Joe is survived by his adoring wife Connie; loving parents Jim and Flora Ann, brothers Steve (Kathy) Estes and Jimmy Estes; sister Cindy (Sallia) Estes; nieces Pamela, Angela, Melissa, and Jill; nephews Steven, and Christopher; cousins; numerous aunts and uncles, best friends Angela Smith Charles Lund; as well as numerous other friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Stella Simanson; paternal grandparents John and Emmie Estes; infant niece Kelly Ann Estes, and numerous aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
