with the viewing 10 to 12. Burial: New Crown Cementary.

A Brief Sketch Of Life
Mr. John Thomas Moore Sr. (a.k.a Tommy a.k.a Big John) was the only son of the late George Thomas Moore and Mary Lee Caldwell, was born May 23, 1942 in Hopkinsville Kentucky
John united in holy Matrimony to Susie M. Parrish. They had three children.
John professed a hope in Jesus Christ and united with St. John Missionary Baptist Church He did maintanance work and cooked for the church. Years later he began to participate in the St. Johns Omni Spritual and Academics School for children in the community. Where he would cook and serve breakfast to them on Saturday mornings
John was a professional house painter, and contractor. John was active in his community during the civil rights movement. He marched with the late Dr. Martin Luther King, and he was a personal body guard to the late civil rights activist Dr. Ralph David Abernathy
John was very close to the late Dr. Andrew J. Brown and he became his personal care
giver until Dr. Brown was called home to glory.
John was a member of the Indiana Black Expo Inc, for many years, He was also a
supporter of the S.C.L.C, Operation Bread Basket and a member of the Indiana Chapter of the Black Panther Party. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. John T. Moore Sr. departed this life on Friday February 22, 2019 at the age of 76 years
John was preceeded in death by his wife Susie M. Moore. He leaves to cherish his memories Two Sons: Karl D. Moore, and John T. Moore, Jr. One daughter, Karen D. Johnson, son in-law Abjul K. Johnson. Four grandsons, Lorenzo M. Moore, Miles A. Moore, Antwon R. Peay, Darren J. Peay, Sr. One granddaugther, Karlee Moore. And a host of great grandchildren.
