A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10 am, with a mass to follow at 11.
John W. Suskovich, 90, was called to his eternal resting place on February 22, 2015. He was born on September 21, 1924 in Brownton, WV to Anthony and Anna Suskovich. John was a World War II Veteran, serving in the 26th Infantry Division. He fought and was captured in the Battle of the Bulge on December 25, 1944. He was a prisoner of war until his liberation on April 13, 1945. He was awarded a purple heart with a cluster. He attended West Virginia University and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration. He was also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi honorary fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Suskovich. He is survived by : his wife, Margaret (Mellie) Suskovich; son, Gregory ( SueAnne) Suskovich; daughter, Nikki (Timothy) Richey; and 10 grandchildren and 6 great gran-children.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church at 10 am, with a mass to follow at 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to woundedwarriorproject.org. Arrangements handled by Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory.
