Surrounded by loved ones, JoAnn Ginn passed away peacefully in her home on July 2, 2018. JoAnn was born on June 3, 1947, in Lebanon, Indiana to Ralph and Lillian Johnson. She was the 6th of twelve children.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Mark and Frank Johnson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Charles “Chuck” Ginn; son, Kevin Ginn and his wife Linda; daughter, Kimberly Oren and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Jessica Ginn, Justin Ginn, Jacob Chapman and Ben Chapman; as well as great grandchildren, Evelyn and Lydia Voorhis. JoAnn also leaves behind brothers, Ralph Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Jerry Johnson; and sisters, Mary Roberts, Lillian Scarborough, Peggy Johnson, Kathy Comer, Brenda Wooldridge and Pam Beaver; as well as multiple nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
A funeral service in memory of JoAnn will be held at 1 p.m. on July 11, 2018 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, with visitation beginning at 11am. Following the service there will be a funeral procession to Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, Indiana where family and friends are invited to attend a gathering to celebrate JoAnn’s memory.
