Jim C. Miller, 79, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015. He was born on March 8, 1936 to Cloyd R. Miller and Levona (Cook) Miller in Edinburgh, IN. He attended Indiana University and served our country in the US Army. He married Mary N. (Myers) Miller in December 1958 and they were happily married for nearly 57 years. He was in sales, working for Central Rubber, Allis Chalmers, Pleasant Electric, Safety Corporation, and Ace Fastener over the years, and then started his own business, Miller Floral Supply. He resided in Indianapolis, had two children, was very active with the YMCA Y Guides and Indian Princesses programs, and attended Christ Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years. He was a devoted husband and father, always present for his family. His sense of humor, intelligence, creativity, compassion, kind nature, and thoughtful manor touched all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by those who survive, including his wife Mary N. Miller, son Kevin S. Miller, daughter Lynn A. Lukins (William) and three grandchildren, Garrett S. Miller, Christopher E. Lukins, and Cecilia A. Lukins. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11 at Christ Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6140 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and the service will immediately follow. The funeral will be officiated by Reverend Elmer Price, of Christ Cumberland, and final resting place will be at Round Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
