
Jeanetta Marie Bayne, 101, passed away Saturday May 10, 2014 at her home at Brownsburg Meadows. She was born February 7, 1913 to parents, Charles R. and Carrie Dean. Preceding her in death were her 6 brothers: Fred, Cecil, Robert, Kenneth and Gilbert Dean. She is survived by her brother, Charles Dean Jr. of Indianapolis. She is also survived by 6 step children, and several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Scottsburg, Indiana and resided in Zionsville for over 20 years, where she raised quarter horses with her husband, Ernest “Smitty” Smith. Preceding his death, Jeanetta married Charles Bayne and resided in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jeanetta retired as a laboratory technician at Dow Chemical in Zionsville, Indiana in 1965.
Jeanetta had a deep fondness for animal and had several poodles as pets. She dearly loved Corky and Sparky, who gave her much joy and happiness throughout her golden years. In lieu of sending flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the family and will be announced at a later date.

She was witty and sharp as you can be for her age. Fond memories like her 100th birthday party. I have never seen someone get so many $100.00 bills before. She was blessed with wit and several boyfriends too. I can see why my uncle Charles fell in love with her.
