Jean P. Amundson, 90, most recently of Brownsburg, formerly a southern California resident, passed away on November 1, 2017. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey on May 27, 1927.

She is survived by her sister Dorothy May, who lives in New Jersey; her daughter Jeanne Hughes of Knoxville, Tennessee; and her son, Thomas Schreiner of Pittsboro, Indiana. She has three granddaughters, Alison McKinnon, Lauren Smith, and Elizabeth Hughes all of Knoxville, Tennessee. She also is survived by three step grandsons, Trent, Trevor, and Travis Ewing, and five great grandchildren, all of central Indiana.

While in California she most recently worked as an assistant at the Salk Institute, doing research on speech acquisition by the deaf and was active in the Sons of Norway in San Diego. She is a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Brownsburg. Details of services are pending
