“For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:6-8
James Robert Campbell, beloved husband and father went to be with the One he served on January 24th. We as a family rejoice in his Homecoming though we miss him so much already. I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of James Campbell. While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly Father, Jehovah, return your dear one to you. May the Lord, Jesus Christ himself and God our Father who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope through undeserved kindness, comfort your hearts and make you firm. (2Thessalonians 2:16,17)

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Jim. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.

What a joy and privilege it was to know our friend Jim, a man who boldly shined a light for God everywhere he went. Never at a loss for an encouraging word or to direct wisdom in loving ways to engage in real human needs and suffering, he will be missed by so many in big ways and small. Thanks for sending him to us abba Father and enjoy his company until we get to see him again in your kingdom.

Jim was my best friend for 40 years. We studied God’s Word frequently throughout those years. I knew his heart and how he loved Jesus Christ. He is rejoicing right now in his new home with our Lord. Jesus said this in John 14:1-3; “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” Jim knew that our salvation comes only through Jesus Christ and that this salvation is available to anyone who makes the decision to put their trust in the Lord. Jim set a wonderful example of how we are to live the Christian life. Sharon and I give praise and thanks to God for putting us together as friends for so many years.
