
James Edward Wallace was born February 24, 1937, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to Edith Mae Cox and Clyde Ray Davis. He later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and attended public schools.
H was united in Holy Matrimony in 1955 to Mary Ann Washington who preceded him in death. To this union was born seven children.
He accepted Christ and served on the deacon board of Seven Star Baptist Church for a while.
He served three years in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He had many jobs during his lifetime. He worked at Sentinel Printing Company as a fork lift driver. He also worked for the co-owners of Sentinel Mr. and Mrs. L.O. Hamilton II. He was groundskeeper and handyman. His last job was manager of Sandy’s janitorial service in Kokomo, Indiana.
He loved playing chess listening to jazz and fishing. He had a good sense of humor.
He departed this life on November 26, 2015, at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by three of his sons James Jr., Terry, and Dale Wallace.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters Ollie Herring of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mary Louise Walton of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; one brother Leroy Davies of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; three daughters Joyce Washington, Toshua Wallace-Williams (Willie), and Marie Wallace; three sons Michael, Donald, and James Donald Wallace; two stepchildren Paula Cohen and Victor McNeal; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at noon with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory.
