
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Life Journey Church located at 2950 E 55th Pl, Indianapolis, IN 46220 at 12 pm, with a visitation from 11 am until the service time of 12 pm.
James Anthony Todd-Neal entered into this life on December 30th, 1963 and departed on January 27th, 2017. He was born to parents Anita Louise Neal and Ronald Evans who preceded him in death. A student of Indianapolis Public Schools, he graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1981. He went on to attend Indiana University from 1981-1984. Afterwards he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served honorably until his discharge in 1988.James made a career for himself in the field of hotel and restaurant management with the Hyatt Regency, Shoney’s, McDonalds and Waffle House. Ultimately, he went on to work for Damar Services as a direct care staff member; fulfilling his passion to work with disadvantaged and underserved children. Late in 2010 James would rekindle an old friendship with Jerry L. Todd and that friendship would blossom into a lifelong commitment. On June 16th, 2012 James and Jerry were joined in Holy Union here at Life Journey Church. As a married couple they enjoyed going to movies, eating out together and taking many road trips to places such as New York, Gatlinburg Tennessee, and most recently a family trip to the Mall of America! However their greatest joy was mentoring and raising children. Through their union 3 sons were adopted and many other children continue to be blessed with a safe, warm and loving home.James leaves to cherish his memory a loving spouse, Jerry Todd-Neal, and three sons, Jordan, Deon and Adrian Todd-Neal. He is survived by a brother, Ronald Evans (Paulette Kennedy) and two sisters, Peggy Neal and LaCheryl Mitchell.
