
A.J. Marshall, Jr., 74, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Dewitt, KY to A.J. and Jean (Baker) Marshall on December 14, 1942. His mother passed away during childbirth and his father raised him and his younger sister, Ramona, with Alice (Sears) Marshall. A.J. married his high school sweetheart Barbara Elizabeth Myers, and together they had 3 children: Angela, Norman, and Connie.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara; his children Angela Barrett, Norman Marshall, and Connie Melick; sister Ramona Regal; nephew Bill; and grandchildren Allison, Samantha, Courtney, and Nickolas.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He spent his life very involved in sports, overcoming many obstacles. He was a 3-time medalist in the Deaf World Olympics. He will be remembered as a family man who was loved by everyone who entered his life.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel 8151 Allisonville Road at 1:00 pm with visitation prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am.
