Irene Capps, a longtime resident of Lawrence, Indiana, died Sunday the 2nd of October surrounded by family.
Irene was born in 1924 in Henderson, Kentucky and she relocated to Indianapolis where she worked for White Castle (retired) and Cub Foods Bakery (retired).
She is survived by her children Joanne Minton, Violet Patterson, Sharlene Orman, Curtis Capps, Rosemary Belman, and Thomas Capps; 20 grandkids; 31 great-grandkids; and 14 great-great-grandkids.
She is preceded in death by two brothers; her mother; her father; her stepfather; six son-in-laws; one daughter-in-law; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel , 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will follow on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, Kentucky.
