Gloria E.(Pero) Richards, age 89, died at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis on March 1, 2018.   Mrs. Richards was born on September 2, 1928 in Elkhart, Indiana to Arthur and Merriam Pero.  She had most recently been a resident of Ligonier, Indiana until 2015.

She married Robert E. “Bob” Richards at the Methodist Church in Ligonier, Indiana in 1988.  Mrs. Richards lived much of her life in Elkhart and Goshen Indiana and was a long-time employee in the accounting department at the Bayer Corporation (formerly Miles Laboratories) in Elkhart. After retirement she dedicated her remaining years to her family, her church, her friends and growing beautiful flowers.

Mrs. Richards is survived by her husband Bob and four daughters: Diana Gann, of Lebanon, Ohio; Michelle Herrli of South Bend, Indiana; Gayle Herrli (David Giles) of Indianapolis; and Carolyn Hoagland (Robert) of Sewanee, TN.  She is also survived by her sister Frances Wisler, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a brother Engle Pero, and a sister Margaret Scott.

A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held at Westminster Village North on April 2 at 2PM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a Parkinson’s charity of choice.
