Gilbert King was born March 14, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late William and Iola King.

He was student and a graduate of Crispus Attucks Night School. He graduated in 1970.

On October 6, 1956 he was united in marriage to Gladys L. Owens of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Gilbert departed this life on Saturday May 16, 2015, He leaves to cherish his memory, wife: Gladys King; Daughters/son-in-laws: Kimberli Howard (Jerry),Karen Lee (Ronald),Shawnda Ba (Bo), Kathy Brown (Billy); Son: Aaron L. King; brother: William King; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.

The family would like to thank everyone for your words of comfort, support and prayers during this difficult time.
