Genevieve L. Bye, 83, passed away October 29, 2016

Genny was born February 14, 1933, in Washington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of David Perry Fitzsimmons Lowrey and Esther Agnes Dean Lowrey.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Akron.  In addition to being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother, she was part of the cafeteria staff at Spring Mill Elementary.

Genny was a member of Post Road Christian Church, a Sunday School teacher for 50 years, took a weekly ceramics class, and was in the Tapestry Guild.

Survivors include her children, Doug (Beth) Bye and Steve (Leighan) Bye; grandchildren, Amanda, Andrea, Samantha, Scott, and Jesse; siblings, Jim Lowrey, twin sister Geraldine Auld, Becky Miltenberger, and Bob Lowrey; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton LeRoy Bye; and two sons, Cliff David Bye and Bruce Alan Bye.

Friends and family may visit from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Post Road Christian Church, 1112 N. Post Road, Indianapolis, Indiana.  A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m, with Pastor David Soucie officiating.

A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church in Silver Lake, 2951 Kent Rd, Silver Lake OH 44224, with Pastor Dianne Shirey officiating.
