Gary Harmon Swaringim
January 30, 1962 to July 23, 2015
Gary was born in St. Louis, Mo, on January 30, 1962 and lived in Missouri until 2007. While in Missouri he met Tammy Gerberding, and on July 12, 1986, they were married. On July 29, 1988 they had a son, Christopher. Gary, Tammy and Christopher moved to Indianapolis in June 2007. On January 20, 2015 Gary became a grandfather. Gary worked for Insituform Technologies for 27 years. Insituform was a big part of his life and he enjoyed his job both in St. Louis and Indianapolis. Gary enjoyed fishing, riding his ATV, and working on the Kansas farm. Gary loved his wife Tammy and his son Christopher. When Christopher was a teenager, Gary worked a second job mowing lawns so Christopher could play golf in high school. Gary was a very caring and hard working person and we will all miss him.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Gary will be buried at St Paul’s Evangelical Cemetery in Bluff City, Kansas.

Gary and his dad were estranged for many years, but reconnected in 1987. This was an answer to prayer and an encouragement to Gary as well. Age (his dad is 79) along with senile dementia prevent travel, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
