Frederick “Myiles” Wilson, Sr., 93, passed away at his home in Peru on Thursday October 29, 2015. He was born on May 19, 1922 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, moving to Peru at a very early age. He graduated from Peru High School in 1940, where he was especially proficient in English Literature, typing, and playing the clarinet. His first job was as a custodian for Bell Telephone. He thereafter traveled and moved to and lived in Michigan, New York, and Connecticut for much of his life, before finally moving back to his home town to his own home at age 90. He is preceded in death by both his wife Wilma (Crawford) Wilson and his son Raymond, and survived by his other 5 sons James, Carl, Myke, Herbert, and Marvin; his 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Those that knew him enjoyed his musical talents with the saxophone, piano, and organ, his love of people, his fondness of cars, and his appreciation for the Scriptures. In 1987 he was ordained an Elder in the Worldwide Church of God. Many would also say of him that he never met a person he didn’t like, and was quite apt at finding the good in people. Memorial services for ‘Myiles’ will be held at 1:00 pm EST next Saturday November 21, 2015 at Mount Herman Church at 451 W 2nd Street in Peru, Indiana 46970. A Repass will be held shortly after the service. Myiles will be missed by many…

Myke says
You fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you kept the faith… Thank you for letting me share the last lap or so with you, and for being an inspiration to so many, especially your sons and Grandchildren. May The FATHER ever keep you in HIS care.
