Evelyn O’Brien Died March 3, 2017. She was born to Ella (Kern) and Dr. William R. Turner on June 11, 1919 in Waukegan Illinois. Evelyn spent most of her childhood in St. Paul Indiana with her 3 older sisters: Elizabeth (Jones), Isabel (Lewis), and Elinor (Platt). Evelyn was married twice. First to Jack Hollingsworth of Plainfield, IN, and then later to William S. “Pat” O’Brien of Kingsville, TX who died in 1987. She lived most of her life in Indiana, with many years also spent in Harlingen, TX. She still has friends and family in both locations.

She is survived by her children Judy H. Roush, Mike (Beth) Hollingsworth, and Sandra (C.J.) Anderson as well as 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by 2 nephews, a niece, and many good friends. A calling will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 11:30 with a funeral service at 1:00 at Union Chapel Methodist Church on 86th in Nora. Burial will follow at the chapel at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, to be followed by a gathering of friends and family at George’s Restaurant at 71^st and Binford.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Gleaners Food Bank.
