Evelyn Laverne Garrett, 90, passed away on August 30, 2015 at Mulberry Health in Mulberry, Indiana. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 21, 1925 to John and Sylvia Schaffer. She married Charles Garrett. He precedes her in death.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Jay Garrett, Nancy Steele, Linda Stephens, and Darlene Carrendar, and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and son, Charles Garrett.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor this Sunday, and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN at a later date.
