Eugene passed away on Feburary 21, 2019 at the age of 85. Eugene was born on March 18, 1933 to Martin Pesecky and Julia Seminchick in Cleveland, Ohio.
Eugene’s father passed before birth. He was raised by his mother and his four aunts. Eugene had to learn both English and Slovak languages. His grandmother from Czechoslovakia only spoke Slovak.
As a young boy of five or six, Eugene sang songs in Slovak in the neighborhood to raise money to help out the family. As a teenager he worked as a soda jerk, set pins in an bowling alley for seven cents a game. On the weekends he worked at a golf course as a caddy, and made pretty good money.
Eugene enlisted in the Army at age eighteen and served two years in the Korean war, one year at Camp Atterbury Indiana.
He met Roberta Busenbark in Indianapolis where they began dating for approximately one year. They were married for sixty-three wonder years of love and devotion.
Eugene was employed at the Indianapolis Water Company for forty years where he was the recording secretary for the local union.
He was an Assistant Scout Master for seven years for Troop 451 and a Mason for twelve years.
Eugene is preceded in death by his wife Roberta and daughter Dawn Pesecky.
Eugene is survived by son Brian Pesecky, grandson Dustin Weaver, granddaughter Shelby Weaver, granddaughters Jennifer and Ashlie Pesecky, great granddaughter Layla Weaver, great grandsons Liam and Leo Weaver.
Memorial and funeral services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 2, 2019 at 10-12 p.m. with burial service at Oak Hill Cemetery, 392 Oak Hill Road, Crawfordsville, Indiana at 2 p.m.

I first met Gene while a member of Pack 451. He was the father of my good friend Brian. Gene was always interestes in the projects that Brian and I would take on. Gene, your awesome sense of humor, quick witt, and infectious smile will be missed.
