
Duane Taylor Stephens, 63, of Eaton, Indiana passed away on September 13, 2016 at home surrounded by family. He was born on July 14, 1953 to the late Floyd “Buck” Stephens and Betty (Guinn) Tarin.
Duane was a lover of music and big Bob Dylan fan. He was an avid Gun and Knife collector, a huge Nascar enthusiast and enjoyed playing poker. He was a fun-loving kind of person and never came across a stranger. One of Duane’s proudest moments in life was when he became a Papaw.
He is survived by: his wife, Claudia Stephens; son, Duane J. Stephens “DJ”; daughter, Shelly Berry (Troy Dulaney);1 granddaughter, Cierra Berry; sister, Beverly (Larry) Bilbrey; sister-in-law, April Stephens; his four-legged companion Lilly; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Rick Stephens; and sister, Terri Stephens.
Per Duane’s wishes, a private family celebration will be held at a later date, in The Great Smokey Mountains.
