Donald James Fogleman, 64, passed away October 15, 2018.
Donald was born April 11th, 1954 in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Coin and Margaret Fogleman. He graduated from Manual High School in 1972, served in the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard, operated his own independent bookstore, Bookman’s, and excelled in an almost decade-long career as a copywriter. He also became well-known as The Bookman as a columnist for the Southside Voice.
Don’s no-nonsense attitude and his storytelling abilities endeared him to his many friends and family. He read copious amounts of books throughout his lifetime, so much so that he often returned from the library wondering why “there was nothing new.”
He and his wife, Marj, were married for 45 years and they laughed with each other each and every day. Together, they raised three sons: Sam, Matt, and Joe.
Friends and family will visit from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Indiana Funeral Care-Greenwood, 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.

Please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss. When my daughter died, I found comfort in the Bible verses: Acts 24:15 “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous” and at John 5:28 “Do not be amazed this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” How thankful we can be for the sure hope of seeing our dear loved ones again.

I am so grateful for every moment I got to spend with Don. He was such a great person to know and spend time with. The work breaks, bbq’s, catopoly, are all memories I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I hope that Don finds my mom up in heaven, and he can make her laugh like he made me laugh so many times.
