Diane Lasco, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away suddenly on June 3, 2017. She was born December 12, 1952, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Earl and Viola Lathrop.

Diane earned an Associates degree and became a LPN. She has worked at Golden Living for many years. She spent her time caring for both people and animals, and enjoyed yard work.

Survivors include her children, Michael l. (Kristina) High of Lafayette, IN, Jason A. (Elizabeth) Servizzi of Brownsburg, IN, Joseph (Tammi) High of Indianapolis, IN, and Kristen (Wayne Vaughn) High; mother, Viola; and 15 grandchildren, with one on the way.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Earl; and husband Michael Lasco.

For all of those who knew Diane, knew her heart was bigger than life. She would have given everything she had to anybody in need. She wouldn’t pass a stray without stopping traffic to catch it no matter the species. She had Rickey the raccoon, her dog Missy, and so many more fur babies. She loved in her own way and she loved unconditional. She was little but carried a great deal of SAS! She loved all of her coworkers and residents we are so thankful and grateful for the joy you gave her.

Services will be held 12 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2017, at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

I worked with Diane when I was at Golden Living and I never passed up the opportunity to smile at her energy, humor, and love of the local alley cats. I am saddened by her passing, the better for knowing her.

I am a hospice nurse who visits patients at Golden Living several times a week. During this time, it was a great pleasure to work with and get to know Diane. Her genuine compassion and kind heart were a bright light every time! Rest In Peace, my sister.
