Mr. George Thomas Felix of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on October 1, 2014 at the Miller’s Rehab/Hospice after a years’ long battle with emphysema.  He was 81 years old.
George was born in Belfry, Kentucky on December 8,  1932 to Kermit and Edna Felix.  In April of 1961 he married Minnie Rachel Hughes.

George retired from Union Carbide after 27 years as a machinist, a job he thoroughly enjoyed.  He was a devoted father to his two kids, John and Kathe, a dedicated and selfless grandfather who doted over his two grandchildren, Rachel and Steven, and was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Felix and his sister Arta Bowman.

George Felix is survived by his son, John, his daughter Kathe Johnson, his sister Mary Kay Slater, his granddaughter Rachel Johnson, and his grandson Steven Johnson.

A memorial service for George on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Indiana Funeral Care located on 8181 N. Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Ind from 11am – 1 pm.
