
David Michael Martin, 64, born on January 21st, 1953, son of William and Norma (Moran) Martin, passed away in his home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 9th, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Cheryl, daughters Angie (Todd) of Greenfield, Indiana and Shellie of Southport, Indiana, brothers Gary (Modie) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Les (Trina) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kevin (Michelle) of Greenwood, Indiana, Jim of Indianapolis, Indiana and sister Cindy (Dave) of Mooresville, Indiana. He was a loving uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews and a much loved Pop Pop to his beloved grandsons, Austin and Christopher.
David was a 1971 graduate of Beech Grove High School. He worked for International Harvester/Navistar from 1972 to his retirement on April 1st, 2004. After his retirement he made people happy by delivering flowers for Steve’s Flowers & Gifts. He was a member of the UAW Local 98 and enjoyed boating, camping, NASCAR and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father William and mother Norma.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, November 16th at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250.
Additional visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Friday, November 17th at Indiana Funeral Care with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11 AM. A special committal ceremony will take place at the Chapel at Gravel Lawn Cemetery 9088 West 1025 South, Fortville, Indiana.
