June 22 1957 – April 29, 2015.
Son, brother, father, and friend. David (Mike) was a craftsman but his greatest art was music. He was a talented musician and songwriter who spent his life true to his hopes and dreams. He is survived by his son David Dean Hopkins, siblings Carolyn (Culver) , Beverly and Jimmy Hightshoe.
David lived his life in the moment. He beat to a different drummer (no pun intended)!!, always counting on making it big. He kept his dream alive each time he met with his follow band members and friends, John Dearth, John Williams, Marc and Michele Keifer, Matthew Aldridge, John Douglas and Roger Logan. Thanks for the love and encouragement and sharing those dreams.
Because of his love of his dogs Bugsy and Capone, In lieu of flowers please donate to Friends of Indianapolis Animal Care and Control (www.friendsofindyacc.org) where the boys spent four days while waiting to go to their new home in Carmel with the McFatridge family. We can never thank Brian and Leisa enough knowing David’s beloved pets will be taken care of and loved until they meet their daddy in heaven.
It’s your time to shine David. In reality, this is not the last goodbye, but farewell until we meet again dear friend.
