66, of North Vernon, passed away on August 15, 2015 in Noblesville, IN.  He was born on December 26, 1948 in Columbus, IN and was preceded in death by his wife Coleen K Castetter, of North Vernon; and his parents “Bob” and Beulah Phares, of Clifford.  He is survived his brother Robert Phares, of Columbus; his daughter Caroline (Chad) Jenkins, of Noblesville; and two grand-children Greyson Jenkins and Nathaniel Jenkins, of Noblesville.
David was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from Cummins.  He loved the outdoors, playing golf and tennis.  Most notably David was a brother to many and loved by his in-laws. He will be missed at the North Vernon Eagles and Amvets.  A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Eagles in North Vernon on Saturday, August 29, 2015 beginning at 4 pm.
