On March 13, 1942, this world was forever made a better place by the birth of Darlene L. France to the parents of Vivian “Parsons” Davis and Lou Parsons.  On August 31, 1963, it was made even better when she married her beloved husband David L. France.

Unfortunately, on April 15, 2017 while surrounded by family, she left this world.  She had two children, Michael France and Carrie “France” Karge.   Michael and his wife Melissa gave her three grandchildren, Michael 21, Brittney 17, and Sophia 10.  Carrie gave her Shelby, 21 and Katie, both of which Dolly now joins.  Before leaving us, Shelby had Carson who is 1.

When Dolly married, she also gained a sister-in-law, Kyle “France” Brummett who became more like a sister.  Kyle has given the family two children of her own, Tony 39, and Ashley 26.

For several years, Dolly worked in customer service for Met-Life Insurance.  She enjoyed crafts, quilting, playing games and doing everything she could for her family and friends.  Dolly always looked for the good in people and refused to give up on anything or anyone.

Dolly will be missed, but her family knows she is now with those she had lost and loved and can be at peace.

Her service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Franklin Road Baptist Church 51 North Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46219, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.

    Dave, Mike and Carrie,
We are so sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. Dave, I will miss all the fun conversations Dolly and I shared in the car as we were off to homemakers and quilting. Please know that she is happy now in her new home.

    Dave, Mike, and Carrie,

Dolly was one of the “good guys”. She always saw the best in people. In the 40+ years that I knew her, I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She had one of the gentlest souls I have ever known. Even with her health concerns, she was always positive and upbeat. I will miss her gentle spirit and her contagious smile. May peace be present in your lives as Dolly now becomes your guardian angel.
