Charles V. Brents, Sr.

Charles passed away on December 15, 2013 at The Abbie Hunt Bryce Home.  He was born on February 27, 1952, to Leon Sr. and Maggie M Brents.  He graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1970 and worked as a Millwright for Allison’s for 27 years.  He attended Purdue University.  Charles returned to college later in his life and earned a degree as an electrical technician. 

Charles is survived by his wife, Vicki of 22 years, Darlene Pryor, Terri Grigley, his two sons Vontres Brents and Charles Brents Jr.  His three daughters Brittney Brents, Jerri Benberry, and Jennifer Benberry.  He is also survived by one brother Bruce E. Brents, two sister in laws Emily Cornett, Joyce Brents, nineteen grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his father Leon K. Brents, Sr., mother Maggie M. Brents, brother Leon K. Brents, Jr., and sister Karolyn Brents. Memorial Service will at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church.
