Carol Martin says
I am Carol Martin, Chucks first cousin. The things I remember about my cousin is he had a sweet nature about him. He loved to have a good time with alot of laughter. He loved being around family. I loved to hear him sing. He had a good strong voice. All that I ever heard him sing was those old gospel hymns. He will be missed but only for a short time. I know I will see him again in Glory! Condolences to Dickie, his sweet wife, children and grandchildren.

I will never forget Bro. Chuck’s infectious laugh and his wonderful, caring personality. He always had that hospitable way about him, making a person feel so welcome. We pray that comfort will be found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the one who Bro. Chuck lived for, preached about, sang praises to and now is in the presence of. Praying for the family and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Whitestown.

Chuck is my nephew so I have known him all his life. I didn’t get to see Chuck and Dickie too often, but when they did come, we would have a family gathering. He did seem to enjoy that. He enjoyed singing, and he did have a great voice. I was told by his sister that “It is well with my soul” was one of his favorite, and I do remember him singing that song. We loved him and love his family even though I don’t get to see them too often. Chuck did have a special place in my heart. He will be greatly missed, but I do expect to see him again someday soon in a much better place. Prayers for Dickie for strength and for all the family.

Praying for the family! I didn’ t have the opportunity to ever meet Chuck, but from the comments others have made he was a wonderful person. Chuck’s grandpa, Lester Ford, was my mother’s brother.

I knew Chuck many years ago. I appreciated his hospitality and enjoyed his young family. Chuck was friendly, honest and fun. Time, my relocations and other changes came between us. I last spoke with him years ago. I wish now I had contacted him lately. We might have again had much in common and could perhaps have encouraged one another. His death saddens me. My heart felt condolences go to Dickie and the children.
