
Charles D Overman August 1954 – December 2014
Charles Overman, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at St Vincent Hospital on Tuesday, December 23rd surrounded by his loving family.
Chuck was an extremely loving husband, brother, and son. Chuck’s family feels so lucky to have had the pleasure of being a part of his life. He loved his family and friends dearly.
He was born in Marion, IN to Gearlene (McNutt) Fisher and Raymond Overman. Graduated from Eastbrook High School 1972, and received a BA from Purdue in 1982. Life Member of the Purdue Alumni Association and the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity, and Circle City Conservation Club. His career as Information Technology Consultant included Home Hospital, Mid-States, Covance, and PTI.
Chuckie enjoyed being an outdoor enthusiast, fishing, camping, wood-working, traveling, sports, cooking, and his birds Zeke, Zoe, and Zac. Chuck was an avid Purdue fan!
He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Debbie Overman. Siblings: Danny Overman, Bobby (Michael Lindsay) Overman, Cindy (Rick) Wright, Lynn (Marge) Overman, Brenda (Merle) Kenworthy and Annette McClain, Eric (Michelle) Overman, Jennifer Overman. Father, Raymond (Barbara) Overman. Mother-in-law Mary Burnside. Uncle Bob (Kathy) McNutt. Cousins Mary (Frank Waltermann) Merchanthouse, Bob (Cede) McNutt, Jeff McNutt, and Donna Kay (David) Vaught, Nephews/Nieces: Mikeal Kenworthy, Samantha Walton, Matthew McClain, Aaron (Amy) Hoover, Shannon (Kelly) Hoover and Danielle (Glenn) Howard. And several great nieces and nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Gearlene “Gerri” and Bill Fisher, Mamaw Mary McNutt, Aunt Ruby and Uncle Max Bender, Cousin Jim Bender and Father-in-law Charles Burnside.
Chuck lived life to the fullest every day and will be sadly missed by his entire family and friends.

Graveside services will be at Jefferson Township Cemetery, Upland, IN January 2, 11:00 am.
