On September 30, 1935 in St Louis, Missouri, Charles E Johnson Jr. was born the youngest of two sibling to proud parents, Charles E. And Sadie M. Johnson Sr.
Charles attended grade school in St Louis, Missouri then Moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he completed his high school education at the historic Crispus Attucks High School.
In 1957 Charles join the United States Air Force where he was Honorably Discharge on October 29th 1962. Afterward he became gainfully employment at Detroit Diesel Allison And retired after 30 years of service.
Charles E Johnson Jr. Was married to the late Oradell Johnson on November 10, 1962. To this union two children was born Anthony E Johnson and Alicia E. Johnson- Segraves. Then later United in Holy Matrimony on June 4, 1988 to the
late Mary E Johnson “Regina” for 25 years.
Charles professed a hope in Christ Jesus at a early age. He later joined Christ Church Apostolic in 1997 under the leadership of Bishop James E Tyson.
Charles was a very giving, helpful, thoughtful and a loving man. That love to shop and was the best dressed in any room he entered. He was a sharp dresser from head to toe and had a warm and infectious smile that brought joy to many.
Charles E Johnson Jr. Departed this earthly life January 28, 2019 He was preceded in death by his loving parents Charles E and Sadie M. Johnson. Both spouses Oradell Johnson and Mary “Regina” Johnson. Sister Charlene (Johnson) Price and step-sister Betty Jo Hopson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Son Anthony E. Johnson Sr.; Daughter, Alicia E. Johnson- Segraves; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; stepbrother Norman Kendrick, Jr.; stepsister, Lenora Nelson; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws a host of nieces, nephews, close cousins, other relatives, family and friends.
