This World lost the biggest smile and infectious laughter of Chae Cox (Kirkendall), 35 of Greenwood, on November 16, 2018. Chae was born in Amarillo, TX on June 24, 1983, and was raised in Johnson County, Indiana. Chae dedicated her life to helping and serving others. She was the first to offer a hug, a smile, and an illuminating outlook. Chae is survived by her husband, Sean Patrick Oatis; two beautifully adored children, Michael Allen David Cox and Padraig Liam Oatis; devoted parents, Allen (Debra) Kirkendall and Christine L. Wolf; In-Laws, Patrick (Connie) Oatis; siblings, Crystal (Allen) Grider(Kirkendall), Nicholas (Brandi) Kirkendall, Bryan Stewart, Ashely (Nathaniel) Saylor, adoring sister Kathrine Kirkendall, and sister-in-law, Katie Winn (Rich) Winn. Chae is survived by several nieces and nephews, whom she poured her love and spirit into. Chae is preceded in death by grandparents, siblings and other ones close to her heart.
Among innumerable memories, Chae will be remembered for her kind heart, the best loving hugs, and a self-less spirit, never one to ask for help.
A visitation will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 E Main Street, Greenwood on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
Private Family Services are scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

First and foremost I would like to send my condolences to my Uncle Allen, Aunt Debra, and to my cousin’s. It was the hardest thing in the world to lose my mother but to lose a child or a sibling… Well I couldn’t even imagine the pain you all are going through.
Chae, I just loved being around you and talking to you for hours when we were younger… I really wish I would have stayed connected with you through our adult lives, you were always very special to me! I loved your innocent nature and could always feel your compassion for others. It made me feel like nothing could be sweeter in this world than to see you smile with those beautiful deep dimples and those smyzing eyes…it always made me feel happier just to be in your presence! I love you and you will be missed by many. I would also like to send my condolences to Chae’s husband and son’s, I’m so sorry for your lost!

My beautiful daughter is no longer on this earth. And my heart is completely broken. We had a mother daughter that transformed our physical presence. I was so completely thrilled when she was born. Just me and her alone in Amarillo Texas. I hope one thing people can take away from this tragedy is don’t tear apart your loved ones. Be kind. Even in divorce or separation. Don’t use your children as pawns to hurt the others in your life or use them for monetary gain. Don’t set the bar so high they can’t reach no matter what they do. Don’t compare them to others. Every person is wonderful in their own way. Be kind. I love you ChaeChae ❤ Momma and yes that is what she called.me.

I’m so sorry you lost such a special person. I’m sure she will be missed greatly. What helps me at difficult times like this is knowing that God also feels our pain. He has promised to end death and bring back to us all those we’ve lost. (1 Corinthians 15:26, John 5:28,29) I hope these promises can ease your pain. My sincere condolences,
Corina
