Carolyn Barton, 75, of Fairmount/Rigdon area, passed away on April 10, 2017. She was born on August 21, 1941. She married Wayne “Pete” Barton on November 11, 1961; they shared over 54 years together before his passing.

Carolyn enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard and the garden. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her three children, Doug (Debbie) Barton of Fairmount and their children, Charise and James; Russell (Phyllis) Barton of Fairmount, and their children, Brandon, Austin, Blake, and Christopher; and Scotty Barton of Gaston, and his two children, Hailey and Justin; and her brother, Jack (Jane) Jamison of Fairmount/Rigdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 3 sisters, Beverly, Marilyn, and Frances.
