, 91, departed to be with the Lord on November 26, 2016 at 3:45 pm on the Sabbath. Our dear Berta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on 10/10/25 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
Berta was always full of life and enjoyed being outdoors with friends and family. She was a 7th day Adventist and read her bible often.
Her favorite bible passage was Psalms 23: “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
She is survived by her son Carlos Antonio Hernandez and his wife, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel at 2:00 pm with visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fishers.
