Barbara was born a country girl in Dowagiac, MI and she remained a country girl her whole life. One of our best memories was to pick apples around her birthday every year as a family. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed working with plants. She pictured herself growing old and rocking on the front porch of her log cabin. Barbara moved to Greenfield, IN with her daughter Kristina who respected her wishes and graciously cared for her in the last months of her life.
Barbara’s favorite song was Amazing Grace…Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now i’m found, was blind but now I see.
With these words we lay our MOM to rest.
In Lieu of flowers the family would like to request that friends and family pay it forward or contribute to one of the following in memory of Barbara L. Deming.
Any local animal shelter across the country, any cancer researches (your choice) and any type of drug/alcohol awareness group.
The Deming children appreciate any contributions in memory of their mother that you choose. Arrangements: Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory
