Barbara Ann Schwiesow, 82, of Carmel, IN, died peacefully on February 17, 2016.  Born June 22, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Edward Francis & Emily Agnes Doyle.  She is survived by her loving sister Therese Janick and preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Janiszewski. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Harold Schwiesow.  She is survived by her children; Steven (Sandra) Meyerring, Suzanne (Brian) King, Sherrie (Charles) Serros and Margaret (Ronald) McMullen as well as her step-children; James (late Charlene) Schwiesow, John (Sandra) Schwiesow, Mark (Robin) Schwiesow and Margaret (Dennis) DeSmidt.  She adored her 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was a friend to many, through card club, bowling, golfing, Meyerring’s Pub and many RV destinations. She was a sharp card player always ready for a game of Dirty Clubs, Sheepshead or Euchre.  She loved to frequent the casino, and was fairly lucky.  She retired in Apache Junction, Arizona 25 years ago and enjoyed living at the base of the Superstition Mountains.  Her kindness, wit and wink of the eye will be missed by all who knew her.

She will be greatly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends in Wisconsin, Indiana and Arizona.

We appreciate the kind and caring staff at Franciscan Hospice House of Indianapolis and St. Vincent Hospital of Carmel for their patience and support during her final days as she prepared for everlasting peace.
