Augustus R. Bozzano (Buddy), 73, Indianapolis, IN passed away July 10, 2018.
He was born March 3, 1945 to Augustus and Phyllis Piselli Bozzano in Philadelphia, PA. He is preceded in death by both parents.
Augustus enlisted into the United States Army in spring of 1977 and was an EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Bomb Squad for 12 years and discharged from the Army in fall of 1988. He earned a certificate in Machining Technology and was a CNC Machinist up until retirement in 2010.
His passions were racing and motorsports, music, dancing, dogs, and his Philadelphia roots including the food, the culture, the music and the sports. He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers fan. He was owner of and rider for C&B Racing, motorcycle drag racing team. He loved Formula 1, Indy Car, and NHRA drag racing. He was also the proud owner of a 2004 black Mustang. He had many Akita’s over the years including his current ones Gracie and Franco. He also loved to listen to audio books and play word and card games.
Augustus is survived by his wife of 26 years Claire Cagiano Bozzano; children, Lisa (Dennis) Boon, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Stephanie Bozzano Polkus, Wilmington Delaware, Andrea (Chris) Bozzano Pontani, Claymont, Delaware, Augustus (Rob) (Christina) Bozzano, Springfield, Pennsylvania, Jimmy (Andrea) Bozzano, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; step children, Ricky Ward, Georgetown, Texas, Melissa Ward, Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Elyse (Billy) Shaw, Joely Impriano, Peter Polkus, Cody Tunnell, Dennise Boon, Katie Boon, Kristen Pontani, Matthew Pontani, Giovanni Bozzano, Augustus (Gus) Bozzano; step grandchildren, Tyler Ward, Clayton Ward, Samantha Ward, Mason Ford; sister, and several nieces and nephews, and his Akita’s Gracie and Franco.
