Arthur “Art” Howard Dowell, age 66, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest on Monday February 11, 2019. Art was born to the late William W. and Thelma A. (Hart) Dowell on December 6, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Professionally, he had worked at USF Holland as a truck driver for 19 years. Art lived in Mooresville with his loving wife Deborah. He enjoyed motor cycle riding and gardening, but most of all spending time with family. He was known and loved for his gravelly southern drawl, his sense of humor, his warmth and generosity.
Art is preceded in death by parents, William W. Dowell and Thelma A. Dowell.
He is survived by wife Deborah Dowell, brother Bill Dowell and wife Lynn, his sons Jeremiah Dowell and wife Krista, Lee Burton and wife Lesley, Kent Burton and wife Alisa, daughter Dawn Hite and fiancé Brian McHugh, son Dan Bianchi and wife Lindsey, brother-in-law Harold Starnes and wife Diane , 15 grand children, 9 great grand children, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Eagles of Mooresville, 451 North Samuel Moore Parkway, Mooresville, Indiana 46250. Indiana Funeral Care entrusted with care.
