Arline M. “Peachie” Duffer died peacefully at Beech Grove Meadows on January 23, 2019, in Beech Grove, Indiana at the age of 85.
Arline is survived by her two children, Chris Duffer (Mary Lynne) and Mary E. Opel (Jeff), her 4 grandchildren, Daniel S. Duffer (Sarah), Jared C. Opel (Kristy), Rachel L. Duffer and Jacob D. Opel; and 6 great grandchildren, James Sargeant, Nathan Duffer, Noah Duffer, Jolie Opel, Ellie Duffer and Jentry Opel. She is also survived by siblings, Robert E. Havlin, Marcia J. Ziegler and Brenda J. Plum. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Oscar and Marie Havlin, a sister Mary McDowell and a granddaughter, Jessica Opel.
She was born on April 28, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Arsenal Technical High School, graduating in 1952. She had a diverse career and worked for many years as a legal secretary. She was a creative soul, dabbling in painting, cross stitch and crochet. She created many cherished items for family and friends.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will also be on Friday, January 25th from 4:00-8:00 pm.
