Andrew (A.J.) Edward Johnson, 25, Indianapolis, IN passed on Sunday, May 19th, 2019, doing what he loved most, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He was born June 2nd, 1993, Indianapolis, IN to Cynthia J. McIntosh and David R. Johnson. He resided in Speedway, IN with his siblings Brandy Goins, and Gunnar Williams attending Speedway schools and graduating from Speedway High School. AJ liked to spend his days at the Bike Park learning bike tricks, was a boy scout for many years, played football, and made lifelong friends. In his teenage and later years, his passion became fishing, working on cars, camping, and virtually anything outdoors. AJ was a comedian and was always cracking jokes and making people laugh; needless to say, everyone loved being around his humor and demeaner. In his 20’s AJ loved building Chopper bikes and hanging out with friends along with his newer passion of shark fishing.
AJ was a Union Iron Worker and a Certified Welder who loved his job and was not at all afraid of heights and the tougher assignments. He bought his first home in 2018 who he shared with the love of his life and soul mate, Lyndsie Lawrence, their two dogs, Goob and Hildy and their cat, Iddi.
AJ is survived by his parents; Cynthia & Jeff McIntosh, Indianapolis; David R. Johnson, Indianapolis; Tami Berg, Indianapolis; his siblings, Brandy Goins and Gunnar Williams, and his soul mate, Lyndsie Lawrence along with many beloved grandparents, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close personal friends who were as close as his own family.
Three Words to sum up AJ’s life .. if you asked it would be: Choppers, Friends, and Fishing
Visitation will be on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

AJ I remember meeting him through my son Gary Medley and AJ starting coming over & hanging out riding bikes with Gary & then them 2 got Larry Gary’s dad to go riding with them . AJ became one probably the only one of the crowd of kids that hung out at my house that I like the most. He became like one of my own kids. Everytime I seen AJ he hugged me. Even years later when I would see him out somewhere that was the first thing he did. I love you AJ. You are amazing person. Thanks for coming into our lives. We will miss you. Ride those two wheels free up in that big beautiful heaven up above

Such a humble soul that could fill a room with his laughter. I spent many years with Aj as my brothers best friend, I have great memories of sleep overs all the way to him helping build a 1/2 pipe in my back yard. I will cherish the time I got with him. What a beautiful obituary. It sounds like AJ lived his too short life to the fullest. My prayer is that those who were closest to him find peace in the fact that he lived his passion(s)- which is more than many of us get around to doing. Sometimes God calls on the best of us way too soon. Peace to you all.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew the little AJ from the neighborhood and those 4 kids, Josh, AJ, Colby and Justin, playing, arguing and laughing. Although they all grew up and moved on, those memories will always be in my heart. I’m so happy that AJ found his passion in his work and someone to share those times. God Bless

Never forget my first day at Speedway Junior High no one else wanted to talk to me probably cuz I look like I had a bad attitude (which he stated LOL) but me and AJ hit it off directly we found common ground and music immediately AC /DC The Beatles ect. . . We hung out after my first day and we just found more in common after school we both love messing with butterfly knives we shared tricks and he introduced me to everyone. . . . I wish we could have stayed in contact😢 but what’s funny is that even to this day any time I hear Beastie Boys Intergalactic I think of him rolling up on his bike to Leonard Park and bumping beasties
Thanks for being good to me rest easy brother
