Story Title: Nothing Sweeter!
By: Dr. Roy Smith
One of the most memorable and unforgettable relationships that I have had in my entire life is with my friend and brother Warren White. In the late 70s and beyond, my family was blessed to know and love Warren. There was never an awkward moment with him. He loved us with his whole heart and his love for God was unrivaled. Our times with others (especially Beth and his children) were wonderful and our times of sharing with each other was magnificient. I was thinking of the words of Solomon this morning and knowing that Warren did what was necessary and expedient when the time was right. His laughter is irreplacable but his love is eternal. I thank God that I had a chance to be in His life and he in mine. My father died 10 years ago and I cannot think of the joy that he and Warren are sharing right this moment. The apostle Paul says that for him “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” I cannot think of these heavenly reunions being any sweeter than that. I yearn to be with them and the oithers that have conquered death.May God Bless you, Beth, and give you His peace and joy. I will pray for you and your family. In His service, Roy Smith

Warren was my friend in High School, I worked with him at Burger Chef, and we played cards with our wives before he was a fireman. I remember his VW beetle and his home off Washington Street. I will morn the loss of him and I ask the Lord to be good to him. He was a great person.

Hello Beth, it has been so many years and yet I did not want to not send you a note to let you know how very sorry I am at the passing of Warren. It certainly brought back memories of LCHS,football practice, Beach Boys, and coach Chandler. It certainly wonderful news that Warren was a brother in CHRIST and we shall meet again. Had not seen him since he drove part time for Carmel Concrete where I retired from after 31 years. I shall remember you and your family in my prayers and remember that smile only Warren could give.BLESSINGS on you and your family. Sorry i can’t attend his service as I now live in Mesa AZ but be sure you are in our thoughts. Joe Weaver Class of 66 GO BEARS

For over 50 years I was fortunate to have had Warren as a friend. Though it was often many years between the times that we saw one another he would always greet me warmly with a joke and a smile as if we had talked but yesterday. Simply put, Warren White was a good man. My sincere condolences to Beth and the rest of his family.

I followed Warren in driving Chief VanSant. His advice was to drive fast everywhere, use your turn signals and don’t curse. That has stuck with me all these years. Warren was a quiet person with a pleasant atmosphere around him. He is one of those that you remember long after you leave his presence. He left this earth too early.
