I was sad to hear that Tom has passed. He will be missed. I first met him during Indiana Gas contract talks, years ago. At the time I did not know what to make of this man. I came to respect and consider him a friend. Rest in peace Tom.

I am so sorry to hear about Tom’s passing. I worked for Tom at Navistar and I had the utmost respect for him. I was sad when he left. I will always remember several things about Tom: I always wondered how he got his nearly 7 foot tall body in that Fiero; I will never forget his comment to me “That is why they put erasers on pencils.” (something I remind myself of from time to time); and who can forget that big voice and great big smile!
My condolences to the family.

My most sincere condolence on the passing of Tom. I met Tom when I was on the Department of Waterworks Board. I remember Tom as always being moderate and deliberate in his dealings with the Board. Away from matters of the Board Tom always had a laugh to share. In one conversation we both found out the he knew one of my brothers. Tom was a kind and caring gentleman. All who knew him will miss him. To his family, may you be comforted in knowing how much Tom was appreciated.

I met Tom when he worked at Indiana Gas & we handled some executive benefits for the company. Tom was one of those guys that you never forgot. A good person & a great sense of humor & what a voice! I just learned today of his passing & am sad that he is gone. I trust he is having a beer & telling a joke & making people feel better about themselves. My prayers go out to his family.
