I feel very honored to have worked for your Mom, at Ameritech. I really admired her because she was such a strong businesswoman, but a very reachable, personable person. I always felt like she respected the people who worked for her, and I think everyone respected her; I know I did! She was a very positive person.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the light of God surround you, the love of God enfold you, and the power of God protect you and give you strength.
LaDonna Anderson Chappell says
My heart hurts right now, My early teenage years were spent a lot of time at your house. And Ms Suellen, was a class act. I always found myself watching her and studying her as she handled herself with you girls. She never judged me and encouraged our friendship even though some of the choices I made for myself at a young age she never made me feel inferior. I spent some of my best summers at your house pretending to be part of your family and all I can say is Ms. Suellen had touched my life and she may not even knew it, but I am one person to say, I am sure glad that i was able to know her….. Heaven has enlarged itself to receive such a special angel “Ms. Suellen Terry.” Laura you and Angie are in my families prayers.

Dear Angela & Laura: You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I loved your mother – she was a wonderful human being, a bright light, cheerful and generous. We worked @ IBT and later we connected when I worked at IUPUI and she joined the University Library Board. She helped me in my garden a few years ago and I cherish the memory of that day when we relived the old IBT days, people we knew, and shared the stories of our lives – as women do so well. Today at Senator Ted Kennedy’s funeral, President Obama shared how the senator wrote to the grieving 9/11/01 families: “We carry on by the light of the ones we loved and lost”. Your mother, Suellen, was the brightest of lights. In her memory I pray WE WILL ALL CARRY ON. God Bless you all. -Susan

Marti Elliott says
My favorite memories of Suellen were the years that we worked together in my garden – we planted flowers, shopped for flowers, sat on my deck and drank a glass of wine and looked at the flowers and I loved every minute. Needless to say many things changed for both of us in 2007 – and I did not get to see Suellen much after that. But I wall always remember that she was the kind of person I wish I could be. She -Dancedas though now one could seeLovedas though her heart had never been brokenSangas though no one could hearLivedas though heaven were on earth!
