Robert E. Ruddell, 71, Indianapolis, died peacefully on August 1st, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Audrey Ruddell and one grandson, Daniel Arvin.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from Cox Insurance Group as a computer programmer/analyst.
He is survived by his wife Paula, son Tony (Chris) Locker, daughters Amy (Donald) Arvin and Terri (Mark) Currier, 8 grandchildren: Dustin, A.J., Phillip, Kaleigh, Abby, Jonathan, Logan and Joshua and 2 great grandchildren: Braylynn and Gracie and one brother Gary (Paula) Ruddell.
Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the American Cancer Society or St. Francis Hospice.
His family would like to especially thank his nurse, Thom and social worker, Melissa for all their support and kindness.
Per Bob’s request, there was to be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in his honor on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 from 10am-3pm at Augustino’s Restaurant located at 8028 S. Emerson Ave., Indianapolis.
