I’m sending this with my deepest sympathy to the Herber family. I have such fond memories of Mr. Herber, whether it was taking “us boys” to Brown County Golf Course for junior golf, Fox River Lanes for junior bowling or back and forth to hockey practices at the arena, it was always with that most memorable smile that I always will remember.
There is no doubt that the Herber family on Langlade Street made it a much better, or at least a more interesting neighborhood, and Bob was a big reason for it.
His athletic and golfing skills were definitely passed down to his boys. Whether it was putting for nickels against Pete, or bowling for beer with Dave and Paul. Or just trying to keep up with Steve and “Beeko”, I mean Mike, on skates.
And his good looks were passed on to girls also. All the boys in the hood had there eyes on Mary and Julie. They were just afraid of getting beat up by their brothers!
Rest in peace, Bob. You left this world in good hands.

My deepest sympathies to Joan and family. I worked with Mr. Herber for 10 years at the Sears in Green Bay and I always believed he was the best boss I ever had. He was a devoted husband and father. I know he must of been a wonderful Grandpa as well. It was an honor to work with him and to know him and his family. May the blessings of God be with all of you at this time. He’s in heaven right now playing golf with St. Peter and I’m sure he is winning!

    Joan:
Sending my condolances to you and your family
“Herbie” was my first and favoite “Partner” @ Brown County Golf Coures. We had many, many great times together, teaming up in the Best Ball Tournaments and getting as many “horns” as we could to bring home $$$$.

    Sincerly

    Grandpa!

You are greatly missed and one of the greatest heroes of my life! You fought this for so long and really showed how strong of a person you are inside and out!! God saw that you were getting tired and knew it was time. I wish you weren’t gone, but I cherish every memory that I made with you! My golf swing couldn’t be any better without your help! I know that you are now watching over everyone and hoping for the best! Remember hope in the heart puts a smile on the face. God Bless!

    Love your granddaughter,

    Tamara
