Mr. and Mrs. Loyd
I signed this earlier today but i didnt know what to say and how to say it. I know nothing will replace Richie. There’s a good reason why God took Richie from all of us, although we may not understand it. God took his only son away also and it was for a amazing reason. God must have had some powerful plans for him and he must have been so very important to God that he had to take him away from everyone so early. It was such an honor to have even known your son and even had an ounce of his love that he gives out. Take Care and your family is in everyone’s prayers and thoughts. God bless – Ashley

Dee Dee Butler says
Tammy & Ray,
I have been wanting to sign this for a couple of days now but was unsure exactally what to say. Then tonight something came to mind and I thought I’d share.
The first real memory I have of Richie is from when he was real young, maybe four years old. He, RJ, and Aunt Sue/Mamaw were singing, “I may never march in the infantry, ride in the clavery……..I’m in the Lord’s army YES SIR!”
I know that you raised him to love the Lord and it showed in his life, you can tell by the amount of people who have been touched by his life and expressed their condolances here.
Know I am praying for you, as you have been in Robert, the Kids and my thoughts.
“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”
1Peter 4:12,13
This verse may not make since at this time, but I feel it is what I needed to share.
God Bless,

Karen Wade Dingman says
Dear Tammy,
My husband is a co-worker of Mike Hewitt and I used to work at Dr. Buchanan’s office. When we heard about your loss we were so shocked of course. We can only start to imagine what you and your family are going through now. We lost two infants at birth at different times and cannot imagine losing a 14 year old son. The only way we have managed to “make sense” of our losses is to “try” to find the good things that have and will come about because of his passing. It may take a long time to get to that point, but you will. Just remember that there is no “right or wrong” way to grieve or act in this time. Take advantage of those close to you that want to help.
Well, I could go on and on, but I just wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. I spoke to the girls at Dr. B’s office and I know how sorry they were as well. If you ever want to talk at some point, Jaimie knows how to reach me. Again, we are so sorry. I’m sure he was a very special young man because I know how special you are as well. Take care of yourself.
Sincerely,
Karen Dingman

GOD’S LOAN
“I’ll lend to you for a little time,
A child of mine,” He said,
“For you to love the while he lives
And mourn for when he’s dead.
“It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you till I call him back,
Take care of him for me?
“He’ll bring his charms to gladden you
And should his stay be brief,
You’ll have these precious memories
As solace for your grief.
“I cannot promise he will stay
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
“I’ve looked this world over,
In my search for teachers true.
In the crowds that throng life’s land,
I have selected you.
“Now will you give him all your love
Not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call
To take him back again?”
It seems to me I heard them say,
“Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joys a child shall bring,
The risk of grief we’ll run.
“We’ll shelter him with tenderness,
We’ll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we’ve known
Forever grateful stay.
“And should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we’ve planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand.”
Ps. 23:4 “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff; they comfort me.”
All our thoughts and prayers,

The Goar Family says
Dear Ray and Tam,
God has woken me in my sleep and has kept your names in my heart to continually lift you up in prayer.
We all want you to know that accross this Nation and even in Iraq peole ae praying for you at this time. As I said before God woke me from my sleep and filled my spirit with these words of praise for Richie.
Richie lived and didn’t want for much,
It was Mom and Dad who gave that special touch,
I remember the times we all spent together,
Playing Euchre or whatever,
But the time that sticks out and at the time made me wonder,
Was when that boy beat me at Eucre!
You see you did more than most parents today,
You taught that son of yours how to play,
Not just Eucre but to play as a God’s child,
With the thought that you both were behind his every mile.
So why did God choose to take Him so young?,
We may never know until we meet the Son.
But if I know Richis and his enquisitive mind,
He’s taliking to Jesus most of the time.
So please stay aware that Richie feels so much better,
In the arms of his Lord and Saviour.
Our Love,
Stu, Rhnda, Zach and Staci

David and Beth Buckingham Kelsey Kristin Kara Ellen Julia says
We struggle to help Kara cope with the incomprehensible loss of Richie. A loss that makes us ache, no agonize, for you. A loss that is so great that we wonder how we could possibly endure it. It is a loss that is beyond the capacity of our minds to grasp … yet, we feel compelled to keep trying until we are ready to let God ease the burden à perhaps just a little at a time.
In the midst of our profound sadness for you, for Kara, and for ourselves, we have become aware of the incredible gift you have given to Kara à to all of us. We are so grateful that Kara and Richie shared a moment in time … a moment that will be everlasting for Kara. The strength of the character that you instilled in him and the clarity of his beliefs about life are well beyond his years and will guide Kara throughout her life.
Richie is the kind of guy you could only hope (and pray) your daughter would date.
The Strauss Family says
Bound by love and endless light
An angel glows within our sight
A smile plays on a shining face
So joy and peace may fill this space
Without such love we could not find
The things we’ve had to leave behind
Had I but the world and had I endless sight
I would give it all up to shine so bright
Without who’s face I could not remember
All the good times past
The days of warmth in bleak December
These memories I pray will always last
Though the road is long and tough
And time will never be quite enough
I know you’ll always make it through
When you’ve got angels watching over you

Kara says
wow, richie was one of the most amazing people that I have ever known. He made me want to change, to become a better person, and through him I was able to. He was always there to make me laugh, and even though we had our hard times, he never ever gave up on me. I know that he is in heaven looking down on me and now, because of him, I am able to look forward to seeing him when it is my turn to go. Until then, I know that he is up there looking down on me, us, and he will make sure we are kept safe and that, even though it is hard now, we are able to get over this and become stronger and stay strong and be happy. From the way he talked about you I knew that you had your hard times together, but I could also tell that he really looked up to both of you and that he loves you very very much. I love Richie very much and he will always be in my heart, as will the both of you.
JC says
When God calls little children to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometimes question
The wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares
With the death of one small child,
Who does so much to make
Our worrld seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold,
So He picks a rosebud
Before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them
And so He takes but few,
To make the land of Heaven
More beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult,
Still somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows
Will always be “good-bye.”
So when a little child departs, We who are left behind,
Must realize God loves children
Angels are hard to find.
Remain close to one another…the pain is unimaginable, but so is God’s love for us. I’m praying for you all.
Larry Irene Butler says
Dear Richard and Tammy’
Losing a child we love is never easy to accept.
We find ourselves searching for a reason for what happened and struggling to make some sence of it all.
God may not give us all the answers we seek, but,if we have faith, he will give us the love, strength and courage we need to carry on.
You have our deepest love and sympathy.

Now we must concentrate on our memories of Richie. How he loved having us rub his back and playing games. How he loved it when ever he could euchre anyone, especially Papaw. He played just like him.
But, we do have one thing for sure, he is with the LORD and is not in pain and has make a major impact on a lot of lives. Maybe that was his mission in his life. Although it was a short one. We are ever so thankful for the time that we did have with him. Thank You Lord Jesus for the memories.
Love you Ray and Sissy and we will always be here for you just feel free to call any time you need to.
Love ,
Dad and Mom-z

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd:
I am Justin & Jenna Brammer’s grandmother from Michigan. My daughter called me on Wednesday morning to share the news and to ask me to pray for your family.
My heart hurts for you, for you see God called my only son Joshua home in 1996. He was at Maranatha Baptist Bible college, going into the minisitry. I know the pain you are going through right now.
I would love to be a help & comfort to you if I can. I listed my e-mail address and my phone # is 586 939-5655. PLEASE feel free to call. And don’t ever feel like you’re being a bother. It would be an honor to talk to you & share some of the things that have helped me to go forward – one day at a time, sometimes only one hour at a time.
Because of Him, Dixie Ramirez

Ray & Tam, I am so glad we were able to get back for Richie’s funeral. We can certainly sympathize with you and have been where you are. Ours was not as sudden as yours but we know the loss you are feeling. Even though we don’t understand why these things happen, we know that God has a reason for it.
You two are very special to us, along with your two brothers and their families. Since we haven’t been close to our kids and grandkids, you all have been like family to us. Richie was a good kid and we will always have good memories of him.
Lean on each other but most of all, lean on the Lord and he will see you through the rough days ahead.
Much love, Bob & Jeannie

Dearest Tammy & Ray….. I know there are not enough words in the english language to tell you how sorry we are for your loss.I realize we were not fortunate enough to really get to know Richie first hand. But, through your parents, we knew him pretty good. He was one of those kids everyone just loved. Dear Tammy & Ray………My heart is so heavy with sorrow. We are praying for both of you to have unyielding faith in GOD. He has HIS reasons, which we don’t understand. We just have to pray for understanding & guidance. I wish I was there to give you a great big hug. with the power to make all alright. I’m sure that with your undying faith in the good Lord Almighty that you will be able to ,in time, get on with your life. Richie will forever be in our hearts. He was a well respected young man with whom you can be very proud of,as are the rest of us. Our world is richer because he was here for awhile. We weren’t ready to say goodbye, but then we don’t have to. Just say ,till we meet again,in the LORD’s HOUSE which HE has made a place for us, also. Until we meet again, know that all of you are in our thoughts & prayers. GOD BLESS YOU & BE WITH YOU NOW IN THIS YOUR TIME OF NEED. HE has GREAT PLANS for RICHIE. We will ,in time know what they are. Until then……………..GOD BLESS……………….LOVE you both VERY MUCH……..Aunt Peggy & Uncle Bill..HUGS & KISSES.
