Richard Fredrick Johnson85, of Carmel passed from this world on April 27. He was born in St.Paul, and grew up in Owatonna,Minnesota. He served during WWII as a B-29 Bombardier in the 20th US Army Air Force based on Tinian, flying missions over Japan. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, and had a career in hotel management and sales. He was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church for 37 years. He was an avid hunter, skier and outdoorsman, and a lover of people. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Marilyn Johnson, daughter Deborah (Mrs.Frank) Harrison, son Regan Johnson, and grandchildren Christian and Ariail Harrison. He loved his family and the Lord, and he is loved by them.Calling: 10:00 am on Saturday, May 8, at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Carmel, IN, followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations on Dick Johnson’s behalf to the Lutheran Child and Family Services.
