Paul “Fred” Beck, 73, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on November 3, 1934, the son of the late Paul and Dorothy (Hill) Beck. He served in U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1955. Fred retired from the Fort Wayne Police Department in 1990 after serving for over 22 years. He was a member of VFW Post 857 and the American Legion Post 82. Fred is survived by two daughters, Regina Prier of Fort Wayne, IN and Lori (Tom) Morgan of Coldwater, MI; a son, Brian (Debbie) Beck of Auburn, IN; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Visitation will be Saturday, July 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. at VFW Post 857, 2200 W. Main St, Fort Wayne, with full military honors to follow at the post. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St, Ste 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
