Patricia Kontner Schierhorst, 83, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on September 15, 2010 of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Patricia was born in Harrisburg, PA in 1927. She graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta, OH in 1945. She attended Mather College for Women (now part of Case Western Reserve University) in Cleveland. She worked in Washington, D.C., first as a fashion buyer, then as a J.A.G. legal researcher at the Pentagon. Patricia was married to Albert Schierhorst from 1955 until his death in 2007. The couple lived in Beltsville, M.D., and in Maitland and Boca Raton, FL. They relocated to Indiana after the death of their son, Wesley, in 2005. Patricia resided at Riverwalk Commons in Noblesville until moving to the Health Care Center at Hoosier Village last fall. She is survived by her daughter Julie, son-in-law Richard, and grandsons Alex and Jordan, of Carmel, IN. A memorial service will be held at 4PM on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Carmel, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
